Northern Lights Season

  • January to March: Frosty breath, sun dogs, and bright white snow— it’s winter in Churchill. It may be cold, but it is undeniably beautiful and this is the perfect time of year for a unique adventure to see the northern lights.

  • The Aurora Borealis has to be seen to be believed. Though darkness is a trademark of the Sub Arctic winter, when the sun goes down, bright colourful lights begin to dance across the stars.

  • A rare and mystical sight with much cultural and scientific significance, the northern lights are a life experience to be sought after, and this is the best time of year to see them.
